The Director, Human Resources is responsible for providing a high degree of strategic and tactical leadership in a dynamic, transformational work environment that will align the human resource initiatives with those of the business initiatives and strategies. This position will support the business needs of multiple client groups by driving and executing human resource processes and programs with a hands-on, consultative approach that will deliver excellent organizational effectiveness in all facets of HR services. Job responsibilities include: • Participate as a critical business partner with the assigned client groups to consult, plan, develop, and guide management in all areas of human resources and to ensure alignment with the business needs. • Plan and direct all phases of Human Resources activity and provide expert advice to management on a wide range of human resource issues. Will ensure that HR approaches are continually aligned with the business metrics, goals, and strategies. • Manage core HR generalist processes and approaches in such areas as employee guidance, management consulting, compensation programs, recruitment, training organizational development, benefits, policies and programs. Leverage and work with the HR Operations Team and HR Talent Management Team to deliver programs and tools to the business units. • Lead the effort on ensuring processes and programs are meeting the needs of the business, providing management tools, and continuously evaluating trends and processes that can be incorporated into a business that is transforming into highly technical business. • Direct HR Generalists and teams to ensure effective management of day-to-day tactical issue resolution. Strategically, will effectively work with other HR business partners and organizational leaders to develop and deliver innovative new policies and programs. • Serve as an internal consultant to guide, train, and make recommendations to HR and organizational business partners in support of overall business initiatives. • Participate, recommend, and establish new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed. • Ensure effective reporting and analysis of HR data to enable the business to make key operational and strategic decisions.
