Plan, design and engineer the ongoing IP Telephony infrastructure for FAC. Work with the Sr. WAN engineers to engineer our WAN’s architecture and network technology to provide a strong and reliable foundation for IP Telephony as an enterprise network service. Interface with the business units and Corporate IT technology teams to plan and develop IP Telephony applications and solutions. Provide Level-3 problem management support, interfacing with other key Corporate IT teams, such as LAN, WAN and Security. Interact with various vendor-partners to plan and implement required engineering support and to troubleshoot, escalate and resolve problems and/or outages. Responsible for the design and implementation of the system components and infrastructure that supports our company’s high availability contact centers. Responsible for the ongoing improvements to system uptime for all components within the IP Telephony infrastructure. Responsible for the actual implementation of complex engineering, configuration changes and actual software in the IP Telephony environment. Research and evaluate technology developments related to the advancement of IP Telephony and recommends tools, products and other solutions. Lead projects and other initiatives, as required, in support of the enterprise IP Telephony infrastructure and operation. Provide internal education, training and TOI to other members of the Enterprise Telephony Services Teams and to other groups within Corporate IT. Job Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master of Science degree* in Computer Science or Electrical Engineer or closely related field plus 2 years ofexperience in Cisco IP telephony engineering experience. Employer will accept Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineer or closely related field plus 5 years experience in lieu of the required MS Degree plus 2 years experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Enterprise multi-cluster design, integrating Call Manager, Unity, IPCC and related application. Integration/engineering of IPCC contact center technology. Cisco Call Manager 4.0+ and Cisco Unity 4.0+. Microsoft Active Director.
