The New Order department is responsible for:
• Processing web orders.
• Taking orders over the phone.
• Faxing out bills and confirmation letters.
• Requesting duplicate contracts.
• Updating information on policies.
• Reviewing duplicate orders.
• Requesting pro-rations and straight transfers.
• Fielding general questions from customers regarding contract details.
• Processing email orders.
• Preparing documentation for outgoing mail.
• Accepting and processing credit card information for premium payment.

To take an order, the New Order group:
• Enter address into the Falcon system to validate accuracy and format.
• Determines if the city and zip code are covered by First America.
• Enter the caller’s name and relationship to the property.
• Gather the required information to place that specific order including:
o Order type
o Property type
o Square footage
o Age of property
o Date of close
o Related parties
o Basic coverage
o Premiums
o Exclusions
o Process the order
o Confirmation/bill is faxed or emailed
Job Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be available to work M-F 9-6.
• Must be available for some Saturday overtime hours.
• Excellent organization and follow-up skills required in this multi-task oriented position
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate to customers and inside teams
• Demonstration of teamwork skills and initiative a must
• 2 years experience in data entry and customer service
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• At least 30 words per minute required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to apply common sense, understanding and problem solving.
• Call center experience a plus.
• Knowledge of the Real Estate or mortgage industry a plus.
