• Develops and manages strategic sourcing and logistics with a heavy concentration in telecommunications, data center hardware, software and office equipment and services.
• Accountable for successful and effective national contracts, with requirements guided by the business discipline or business unit affected, by ensuring a skilled negotiation approach, appropriate price, product type and service.
• Effectively interfaces with key customers of the procurement group involving IT engineers and project managers, finance and business unit leaders that enable an ongoing understanding of requirements.
• Ensures efficient process, policies and procedures are in place and followed that leads to cost effectiveness, procurement system efficiency and financial audit compliance.
• Measures and reports contract utilization to identify participation levels and any need for improvement.
• Develops meaningful metrics that can guide decisions and alterations to existing contracts, vendor choices, buyer assignments and policies.
• Manages procurement technology and implementations with a thorough understanding of Oracle Procurement and iProcurement functionality and by implementing effective training and ongoing communication for all user levels
• Directs sourcing selection, lease vs. buy decisions and contract negotiations while partnering with in-house legal counsel, finance and IT staff to ensure financial and technological effectiveness for an annual spend that exceeds $200 million
• Develops processes, policies and procurement ‘system use’ guidelines to ensure departmental objectives are me.
• Monitors key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations and internal strategic importance of critical products and services in order to implement appropriate sourcing strategies.
• Interfaces with end users to ensure a thorough understanding of product specifications and project needs to effectively fulfill internal procurement expectations.
Job Qualifications Bachelors Degree – business, law or procurement or equivalent experience. MBA, CPM and/or CTPE designations a plus

Minimum of 8 years in a corporate procurement leadership role that involves significant levels of large dollar contract negotiations.

Must demonstrate an understanding of technology and telecommunication procurement with specific exposure to lease vs. buy decision responsibility.

Experience in large multi segmented non-manufacturing organizations a plus.

Experience with Microsoft office suite, plus Oracle’s automated procurement system strongly desired as well implementation experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience managing high dollar contracts with expertise related to lease vs. buy analysis

Strong leadership skills, highly organized and self motivated
